How to get there:
Epsom Road in Nahoon and at James Pearce park the road turns right.which  you follow all the way to Nahoon beach. You will go over plenty of speedbumps until  the road forks left or straight.Leftgoes to Nahoon beach and straight goes to Nahoon reef. When you get to Nahoon reef there will be a big parking area facing the sea and on the left of the parking area where you will see a small beach(sand) area  with Mermaids pool in front of you

Dive site:
During low tide this area will be cut off from the sea and is about 2m deep..
It is used by snorkelers and very popular during summer when  the tropicals will be around and can be from moorish idols, angels, butterfly's,surgeons etc.
Fish will vary from mullet, stripies, blacktails etc but corals are few and is mostly sea grass

If you stand at Mermaids facing the sea you will notice a big rock to the left ,that would be the exit or entry area when on scuba.Mermaids is mostly clean during the year but the outside area have plenty of round rock and is difficult to walk on.Ideal area to test out scuba gear as well.
