 Hi Johan, just to let you know that George Branch(Two Oceans) thinks your beast is probably a cnidarian because of its radial symmetry and tentacles, and
 that it might be a colonial stalked jellyfish, but he's not sure... he's never seen anything like it himself. So he's asking some other
 experts... I'll let you know more as and when they get back to him!

Attached two photos of the specie in question
Can you Id it
 Photgraphed on 2010-06-02 at Shark gully near the bellboy in Algoa
 Bay by Evania Lombard
 The depth was +/- 17m and the specie was about 80mm in total size
 with the bells about 10mm each
 Compare size with hunchback amphipod next to it
