Dive Type: Boat Dive Depth: 6 -14m Diver Qualification: Open Water Diver

This is one of Port Elizabeth's' big novice diver treasures.

The Shark Guly is accessible in only ten minutes by boat. The actual buoy used to be anchored off Roman Rock, but was moved further out in later years.

Depth varies from 6m - 10 meters. Large red bait pods in the shallower regions, with overhangs, pinnacles and arches are a few things to look forward to when doing this dive.

Masses of sponges, sea squirts, gorgonians, corals, hydroids and anemones can be seen on every meter of this reef.

Wide range of migratory and resident fish life is an added bonus. The world famous amphitheatre and shark gully is home to a large number of “Raggies” in summer, which is an absolute spectacular site.

Due to the fluctuating currents, the visibility ranges between 3 and 10 meters, but should no less be discounted, because of its’ macro diving capabilities and photo opportunities.
